Dave Barnett started Offshore Moorings in 1967 in South Australia as a marine salvage company. He operated the vessel "Raider" throughout Australia, New Guinea, and South East Asia for nearly 20 years salvaging vessels and equipment from 10 to 3000 tonnes, at times from depths of up to 300 feet of water.

Some of the more famous names in maritime history had been worked on by Dave: SS "President Coolidge" Vanuatu), The Dutch East India vessel ‘Geldermalsen’ (South China Sea), The Imperial Japanese Destroyer ‘Mikazuki’ (New Guinea), Japanese Destroyer ‘Hatsuyuki’ (New Guinea), HMS ‘Repulse’ (South China Sea), HMS ‘Jupiter’ (Indonesia), USS ‘Houston’ (Indonesia), HMAS ‘Perth’ (Indonesia), Italian Cargo Vessel MV ‘Antonio Tarabocchia’, USS S-39 (Rossel Island, New Guinea), Cargo Ship ‘Darpo Dua’ – 3000 tonnes (Indonesia).


Derek Dufall and Steve Marns complete the highly experienced rough water commercial diving team,

providing a combined 40 years experience in commercial diving and marine recovery.

of 'No Cure, No Pay' mandate for all marine salvage.
